My leo just bit me! 😭 Why??

Sorry if this is the wrong place for this post but I wasn't sure where else it might be more suited.

I've got Ollie out & he's under my shirt & covers just walking around on me & he gets to where my hand is. Palm facing him (a little moist/sweaty I guess) and he started licking it and kind of pushing or rooting around with his nose on my palm, then out of no where.. lick, then CHOMP! It scared me so I jerked my hand up & he was hanging there for a second!

He's never shown any sort of aggression, he's always the goodest boy! Did I do something wrong? Did he think my hand was food? I'm so sad!!

Just because he did it once doesn't mean he will do it again. He may have been startled, Or if you just moved a certain way he may have mistaken the movement for food. Don't let it stop you from handling him.
