A good read for those creating a naturalistic/bioactive habitat for your gecko. Some great photos of various habitats and terrain. Yes - they do not live in pure sand. They actually avoid it....humidity too low. Typical arid desert set-up...Lots of rocks with crevices and rocky soil.
