Male leo can still smell female?

I was unsure what sub-forum this belonged in, so I chose this one. Apologies if it's not correct.
A few months ago, we moved one of our leopard geckos from a 10 gal to a 20 gal, and he seems very happy with the change! Much better than that cramped little tank.
It used to house an old female gecko of ours.
Now, here's where the problem comes in - he apparently still smells her, even after a thorough clean and him living in the tank for months. I can hear his tail rapidly vibrating against his hides every day.
Is this going to stress him out at all, or is it fine to just leave him be? He doesn't quite realize there's no girl around for him.

He could be smelling the decor, hides, food dish etc that the female had in her cage. If you didn't do that then i would say just give it time and the smell should go away. Also If you have his cage next to your females cage he could be smelling her. Around this time is the breeding season for leopard geckos so the males get pretty excited when they get a scent of a female.
