Hello Everyone! I thought I would do an official post on this but meet Stitch! He is a Wild Caught Tokay Gecko!. I recently received him as he didn't have much of a home with the previous owner. I hope to give him a good life here. I have little to no information on how to take good care of a Tokay sadly. I've done loads of research though so all the knowledge I do have of course I got from websites and forums. As always my biggest fears are always temps and humidity as I also have a Crested Gecko in an other enclosure near by.
I've purchased the following items for Stitch though.
-18x18x24 Enclosure
-Moss to help with humidity
-added some clay pebbles under some weedblocker to help as well with humidity(provided by Liz)
-Big nice Corkbark hide
-Big ledge area for basking(apparently they need a basking spot?)
-little bit of foliage to help cover corkbark to add more of a hide area
-dome with uvb
and a few other items to help out nothing to specific.
Currently using a cheap hydrometer and temp setup while waiting on new inkbird setup(should be here within 2 weeks)
Hopefully people can help give insight on how to take care of this beautiful creature! Of course my primary focus will always be on my crested gecko Buttons but in the end I love them both and I hope to give them both a wonderful and happy life here!
