When do you introduce your males?

Hey all! A new breeding season has started, and I wanted to ask you guys a question. In the past I have only ever introduced my males to my females once they have started ovulating and you can see their ovulation spot on their stomach (with mixed results). Normally my females start to ovulate sometime mid February, but I was wondering what do you do? Do you wait till you know your females are ovulating, or do you just introduce them once you feel it’s the right time?

I’d love to hear your thoughts on this!

During the 13 years I was breeding leos I would introduce the males to the females mid-January when just a few had started ovulating. Since for the most part the females tolerated the males' presences and I would leave a male with the females for the entire breeding season, it wasn't an issue for me. I have no idea if introducing them before ovulation hastens ovulation, but I guess I always hoped. I'd usually get the first eggs mid to late Feb, though they were usually no good!
