Top of hand and wrist look irritated

I noticed after a shed that my Leo’s hand looked super irritated. He’s walking on it fine, and it’s not oozing anything, it doesn’t seem like it’s bothering him at all. Did he rub it raw while shedding? And is there anything I can do to prevent infection?

Sometimes there can be an abrasion because the gecko bites it when it's trying to get the shed off. Keep an eye on it and if it starts looking worse, consider a vet visit.

Would a preemptive bath with a reptile safe solution help in this case?

It wouldn't hurt. Just watch for continued degrading of the skin and consult a vet if that happens.
