Build Suggestions for Multi Unit Piece

Hey I’m planning on building a custom multi unit for incoming geckos with melamine wood or pvc. Its’ dimensions will be :
34 “ long x 24 “ wide x 63 “ high

I am planning on each units’ dimensions being:
33” long x 24” wide x 12 high

While on paper this should be a fine set up.
I’m worried about the logistics of heating the geckos on melamine/pvc.

Where do I put the UTH?

Could I use heat tape or a UTH?

IF I get slate rocks big enough would the slate be fine getting the uth / heat tape on it?

I was planning on making the front doors be screen doors. Sliding screen doors.

Would this work?

- side note the back and sides will have a few vents / slits ? areas for air c

I recommend PVC. Melamine deteriorates quickly when it gets wet.
Heat tape and pads won’t give you sufficient heat, as it will have to pass through 1/2” of material. Your best option would be to use radiant heat panels inside the units, regulated by a thermostat.
I would suggest using plexiglass for the doors. Your geckos will rub their noses raw on screen.

I am thinking melamine on the sides for outer sides for sturdiness and maybe PVC for the "flooring"

I was thinking I can put it on the inside. The heat tape / UTH. Was looking at a few suggestions from previous threads.

Would this work, in this style?

It probably would work. Using heat tape or pads inside a cage isn't something that I personally am likely to do.
