So I did not really know how to title this blog, but my question I have for all of you tonight is this: my boyfriend surprised me the other day by bringing home a little baby leopard gecko from our local pet store (PetSmart) Now, I have around a year and few months leopard gecko (I got her from the same store as well!) who is pretty laid back, cant really see and spends most of her time sleeping.. I introduced her to the baby gecko and they really didnt seem to have a problem with eachother .. (I'm unsure about the sex of the baby-- im assuming shes a female at the moment) but there really hasnt been any "bullying" that I see going on inside the tank. The tank is spacious, the hides are new, new bedding, the temps and humidity look good. I'm just so nervous that something will happen between them.. Ringo (the adult) has to be forced fed since she is pretty much blind in her eyes (have to bring her to the vet soon) I guess to get to the point, do I need to separate them? I really hate to bring back the baby and get a new one around Ringo's age... They sleep together, they both seem pretty lazy, the baby isnt that active and is CONSTANTLY sleeping as well.. I put small crickets in the cage and some large (the large scared her.. the pet store said they fed the babies large crickets, but the cricket is bigger than the size of her head!) I just dont know if she is nervous eating in front of Ringo.. They both seem to get along fine.. I would like some opinions about this. I dont know if I am being way too paranoid about the baby being with my cuddly Ringo.
(Another thing that makes me wonder is that I think that they sold this baby WAY too soon.. when I got Ringo, she was around the length of my palm (width wise) and this one fits right in my hand.)
