Lygodactylus conraui communal?

I keep reading that L. Conraui do great in a colony or community but I can't find anything on what exactly that means. Can 2 breeding pairs be kept in a large, 4'x5'x2' vivarium? Or only one male with multiple females?

Given what I know of other day geckos and how they behave with each other, I recommend a male with females. It's possible that an enclosure that size would work with lots of hiding spots, but I don't know if it's worth the risk.

I thought you might find this interesting. Twelve years ago, when I was still editor of GeckoTime online magazine, we ran a series called "Prose and Controversies".
