Morph help?

Just curious as to what morph she is, not sure, I'm not that with it when it comes to morphs, haha.
I got her from a pet shop a few days ago, it's sad cause she was underweight, and the state of the other gecko's was upsetting, they were all so thin, their tails like twigs. :[ and pretty much all of their tails had dropped. *sigh*

Meet Iggy;

She's really skittish and doesn't like being handled.
I'm worried cause she keeps digging and it's so obvious she hates being in a tank, but I don't know what to do with her! She's eating and pooping okay, but you can't touch her cause she'll hiss at you and hit you with her tail, she's constantly trying to get out her tank.

(oh and ignore the poop, I was just cleaning her tank when I took the pictures. & i'm aware that it's not a great idea to have her on sand, I just want her to calm down a bit before I try and change substrate, she seems stressed enough as it is)

help anyone?

Try taping some paper to the sides of her tank so that she can't see out. That'll make her feel more secure. The paper doesn't have to go all the way up the sides. Just high enough that it's above her line of sight. Also, although I know that it's tempting to play with your new pet, the best thing that you can do is just leave her alone for a few days and let her relax. As for her morph, she looks like a normal albino. Hard to say which strain of albino from the pics.

I think Ethan is right - albino - probably normal, maybe from the bell line - but the pics make it very difficult to tell.

As long as he/she is eating and pooping dont worry that it wont let you handle it - give it a good week 7 full days to feel comfortable in the tank.

I sometimes use an old towel to wrap around the base of the tank so mine cant see their reflection or outside of the tank

As for the sand - how old is the leo? Got any idea? If it's older the sand should not give you too much trouble - I put sand on a part of the tank - where the basking light is - mind tend to stay on the cool end when feeding and rustle the crickets to the tile occasionally if the cricket gets in the sand they will ofcourse track/eat it there - but the older geckos have not IN MY EXPERIENCE ONLY not had any trouble with impaction.....

She's about 3 months old, so pretty young. She doesn't seem bothered about being on the sand that much, it just seems when she decides she wants to try and get out, she'll either try and jump up the tank, or try and dig for freedom, eep!

And thanks, I'll put some paper around her tank and see if it makes her more comfortable.

Sand really isn't good for them, they can eat it while chasing crickets, and they can't digest it. If too much builds up their system, it can be fatal, regardless of its age.

As for taping the paper towel up, just be careful that she cannot tear the tape off in any way. We once taped down some paper towels for one of our geckos because he had just hatched and we didn't want him to get undearneath and suffocate (we worry a lot lol). But so anyway, we taped them down, and the little bugger managed to claw the tape away and got both of his arms stuck to it. I tried my best to get him free without hurting him, but he wriggled so much and broke his arm. It wasn't very fun, although they are resilient little creatures and he did heal rather quickly.

Your leo is a beauty too btw :)
