Your best bet is to go with something simple for the first month or two, so that you can monitor the gecko's eating, defecating, and drinking. Once everything checks out and you get the hang of the husbandry, then you can get a little more advanced. If you haven't checked out any caresheets before, I'd recommend doing so. Here is a fairly concise one that I wrote a while back
GekkoniDazed Geckos - Care Sheets
To make the most simple setup, get a terrarium or container that will not be too large and will be easy to clean. A 10 gallon tank, larger kritter keeper, or a 20 quart Sterilite tub work quite well. Use something disposable on the bottom, like paper towels or newspaper, so that cleanup is simple and everything can be seen and monitored.
Structure like the bending vines and artificial plants work very well. They provide plenty of cover and places to climb, and also give the gecko something to rub against to work off their sheds.
A water and food bowl are a necessity as well, so don't forget about both of those. Pick up some Crested Gecko Diet as well. (and calcium/D3 powder if you plan to feed crickets or other live foods) A misting bottle, thermometer, and hygrometer are also good things to have around.
Hope that helps.
