The other day i picked up a female pasteur's day gecko to go with my recently aquired male so now i have a pair. I will be putting them together in the next few months. Here they are:

Very nice pictures, pretty geckos. Like the last haha:D

Thanks! When she opened her mouth for the last pic i just though hmmm, i could do some editing here :D

your male is stunning. I wish I could get my hands on a pair of these.

Thanks. I would definately recommend this species. They are small, freindly, and beautifully coloured. What more could you want! Both of them take crickets from a deli cup that i hold (they jump in to it), and the female takes crickets from my fingers and i've only had her a week! They're fantastic!

I'm glad you managed to complete the pair ;)

How easy is it to breed and incubate with this species?

Thank you very much, i'm really pleased i have managed to aswell. As phelsuma go i think the are about average in breeding and incubating. They are a bit more tempremental than grandis ect, but no way near as hard as cepediana's ect. I think they breed well when you have the set up right.

Very cute little Phesuma. I wish my Gold Dusts and Grandis were that friendly! ;-)

That was what put me off those species to be honest. I prefer the more bold ones. But, having said that, i am looking at getting a pair of ornata's which are very shy.

I was under the impression that many Grandis were somewhat handleable but mine seem very nervous. Perhaps when I get the new enclosure done they'll settle down a bit.

I noticed in your signature that you have some Standings Day Geckos as well. They're very beautiful but I was wondering what they are like to keep. Are they somewhat friendly or very shy like the Gold Dusts?

My standings is very freindly aswell. He feeds from tweezers (would from fingers, but has a nasy bite lol), and always hangs around. He will walk across your arm if you put crickets in his viv and then put your arm as a platform for him to stand on to get to the food aswell (i have only done this once). He's a great character, but i may have to sell him in the near future as i would like to concentrate on breeding day geckos and don't really have the space for two of them. I hope it doesn't come to that though. A very fun species to keep.

amazing geckos! How large of an enclosure do they require?

Its really a matter of oppinion and the individuals involved. At the moment they are separate, and in 30x30x45cm exo terra vivs each. I am going to build them a 40x40x80cm glass viv for them when they are adults. The person i bought these off has had good results with his pair in a 40x40x80cm viv. I was originally going to keep them together in a 30x30x45cm viv as they are only about 4.5 inches long, but after keeping them for a few weeks i realise that is far too small as they explore every inch of the viv.
