Hey all,

I'm just recently back into Leopards and very new to this forum. I currently have a 2-3 month old standard Leo (sex TBD) and a 3 year old Mack Snow male. Looking to pick up a couple more and trying to find a decent breeder. I have seen quite a few websites but know nothing of reputations, etc. Also, currently I'm not necessarily looking to start breeding...looking more just for great pets. Is it typical to find anyone that sells "adults", as pet quality or is it like dogs or anything else that I'm really only going to find juveniles and pay upwards of 200, 400, 800.00 for a Leo because they assume you're going to breed them and make money off of them? Not to discredit breeders because I'm sure a ton of work goes into the whole process. It just looks like I'm going to have to really stack away some money before diving into other morphs. Thanks in advance!

You should be able to find a wide range of leos priced anywhere from $10 - $1,000. Certain morphs are simply going to cost you more no matter what. But there's plenty of cool morphs to be had for under $100. You might want to try your local craigslist as there are often people on there trying to adopt out adult leos. It's also always fun to go to local reptile shows where you can often meet the breeder in person and hand pick your animal. This saves you on shipping costs as well. Many (if not most) of us on here are breeders. So, if there's something specific that you're looking for, you can always post a "wanted" ad in our classifieds.

Thanks so much! One other question about reptile shows. Is there a running list of upcoming shows in the USA?
