Hey people, last night I was looking for eggs in my lay box and didn't find any so i started cleaning up the terrarium. In the sphagnum moss I found 1 egg:D I took it out careful not to shift the position and put it into a container with hatch rite in it. Later on i realized that while my cresties were roaming around in the terrarium they might have shifted the position of the egg before i found it. Do you think i should candle it and if so how do i? also i was wondering if the egg needed UVB to grow? Thanks so much for ur help!

Hi you could candle it if you wanted too by getting a small pen light/torch. Shine it onto the egg to see if there is a small pink circle, or if the egg is generally pink/red. You dont need any uvb for the eggs at all, good luck :)

where should the pink spot be?
Depending on if the egg was moved about, it will either be at the top of the egg or at the bottom. If you cant see it, but the egg itself has a pink/red glow to it, then its fertile and you can just leave it alone :)
