My new U. phantasticus trio!

Hey there! Well, after a grueling 5 year wait, I finally have my first trio of phantasticus, and they are absolutely every bit as stunning as I had imagined them being. I'm going to relocate my two females into a smaller vivarium today, but they seem to be adjusting very well. A big thanks to Lawrence, his geckos are top-notch, and he's an incredibly nice guy to work with. Pictures truly do them no justice--the lighter female is bright gold, which didn't come across at all. Anywho, enough blabbing, and on with the pictures! Excuse the quality, they were shot through the water-stained glass of their vivariums.

Here's female number one!

The second female--

And the male!

Thanks for looking--I'm very excited to finally be into these geckos. You can bet that it won't stop with this trio, and I can't wait to work towards producing geckos of my own!

Cheers,
-Matt

Beautiful little guys. Have fun with them. Keeping the sexes separate until full adulthood will increase your chances with breeding them. Since they are so young, housing can be minimal and they will thrive.

Thanks Ashton. I have them separated for sure, I didn't want to risk them breeding too young either. Their cages are side by side though--maybe that will increase their...desire...as it were, lol.

Congrats on such beautiful phants :)

Thank you muchly! I still can't believe I finally have my geckos, haha.

They are stunning! Congrats.

Thank you :D.

I'll post pictures of their vivariums for sure tomorrow. I removed the females from the gigantic vivarium (where the photos were taken) to help them forage for food, and will relocate all three of them to the big tank when they reach adulthood. About that time I should be getting another couple of pairs (fingers crossed), and those pairs will take over the smaller cages.

Thanks again everyone, the feedback is greatly appreciated!

Cheers,
-Matt

Here's a quick video of the vivariums--I thought it would be easier than taking pictures. Pardon my boring monotonous tone, lol, I guess I hadn't gotten enough sleep.

If anyone has any questions feel free to ask--it's a pretty standard setup I feel.

Matt,

CLEAN set up and I'm not just referring to poop free. Your set up is well thought out, organized and easily expandable without re-building. Well done, and thanks for the compliments.

Thanks Lawrence--I appreciate the positive feedback. I had a long time to think about how I wanted my setup, haha, and I tried to go for simple and efficient. I can't get enough of watching these geckos. Right when the lights go out they wake up and are very active. I've already seen lots of interesting tail-wagging behavior and feeding techniques. Hopefully they'll all grow into adulthood and remain as healthy as they are now.

Cheers,
-Matt

Thank you Suey, and no problem on the video! I'll be making more as time goes on and as the geckos become more acclimated. If you ever have any questions, feel free to ask!

Cheers,
