These are eggs, right?

Got a unpleasant surprise tonight when I found this:

Unpleasant for lots of reasons.

1. She's a baby, 25 grams!
2. I got her from a pet store 3 weeks ago, she was housed with a male blizzard same size as her. Brother maybe?

Well, ok, that's only 2, but they're biggies! Can she survive this? I gave her a box with moist moss.

She can survive it though there is a chance she may not, I'm not sure how to make the laying easier before 50g so maybe someone else can help with that. Hopefully she will be ok and make you some pretty babies :)

I'd suggest extra plain calcium and definitely a lay box.

How does one give "extra" calcium? I have plain calcium in a dish, and calcium with d3 in the bug dish. She hasn't been eating the last couple days. I thought it was because I put her in a different cage (got her a 20 long Saturday).

Can I mix it with water and give it with an eye dropper or something?

You guys agree that these are eggs then? I have never bred leopard geckos. All of mine are housed individually.

If you go to the vet they may prescribe you a calcium carbonate liquid. They did this with one f mine who we thought had an egg but it possibly wasn't formed so she prescribed the calcium.

You should only do the D3 once a week and use plain all other times.

Try some juicy worms like silkwomrs and hornworms. They normally cannot resist them. The silkworms will be very healthy and high in calcium for her.

Well, her appetite has returned. I dangled a big (to her) roach covered in pure calcium in front of her and she snatched it up, then ate another.

Still holding steady. There are photos from last night here: Flickr: Bad Kelpie Photography's Photostream

The first three photos are from last night, the 4th is from the night before. The 5th and 6th are my new baby, Hugo, whom I don't think I have introduced here yet.

They look less pronounced, but I think she was slightly dehydrated in the first pic, because between then and they other pics, she gained 2.5 grams (she'd been sitting the the very moist lay box most of the time)

I went to the pet store and told one of the people who runs it. She was shocked, because the supplier was supposed to send 2 girls. We went and checked the blizzard and sure enough, he was a boy. I asked if they were related and she said that they were not. They were from different clutches and neither had any hets. So if these things hatch, I'm gonna have a bunch of normals :). Which is funny, because I decided last week that I wanted one more, and a normal this time. So I got Hugo :).

I got a little giant still air incubator. Peat moss (vermiculite and perlite are not to be had in these parts, except the stuff with miracle gro) and a gladware container for the eggs to incubate in.

I think I'm ready.

Now they're gonna be infertile, since I'm ready for them :)
