Leopard Gecko Tail Variations?

Hello, world. I recently got a murphy patternless leopard gecko and I've noticed something a bit different about her tail.
The typical bumps that cover the skin stop a little over half way down her tail, and it is completely smooth. Her tail was never regenerated, so I'm at a loss as to why it would be like this.
At this point I'm assuming it's simply in the genetics, and am wondering if anyone else has seen anything similar?

The only way that I know of for that to happen is with a regenerated tail. Could she possibly have dropped her tail in a previous home?
My Leos tails get smoother near the end where they start to get to the tip but they aren't completely smooth.

I looked up pictures of regenerated tails, and all of them look very distinctive. Her tail looks pretty normal to me, just missing a lot of the bumpy patterns.
She's only about 5-6 months old, as well.

I don't know about her previous history, since I did buy her at a petstore.

Now that I think about it my Leos tails are pretty smooth near the tip of the tail after the fattest part.

Picture sounds needed. I'd like to see that if the tail hasn't be regenerated.
Does it look like the normal's tail? His was regenerated at a young age. It simply looks like the bumps stop at a point and is smooth from there.

It looks as if that portion on the tail was dropped or amputated possibly due to an accident or infection in the past and regenerated.

Oh I know that Gibbs' tail was dropped and is regenerated. His previous owner had set a heavy ornament on it. I was simply using this picture as a reference for the OP.

Ha! Also just noticed in the picture that it looks like he pooped out a quarter. That was there to show size for a friend that is interested in them, but hasn't seen mine before.

That looks to definitely be a regenerated tail. It's just that since it was just the end and it might have happened when he was really little it grew back looking pretty normal.
