why hello there my fellow gecko/herp/reptile/ four legged exotic friend enthusiasts...my name is Katie and I live in Wisconsin. My boyfriend and I have three leopard geckos, 2 girls Rio and Kiwi and 1 boy Lambeau. We started our gecko adventure back in September when we got Lambeau then came Kiwi in October and finally Rio in December.

They are all so precious? Do you house them all separately or together? I ask because I want to house two females in the future but after reading some stuff online I am afraid and nervous to.

Well right now kiwi is in her own separate tank because she is having some health issues but normally I house them all together...I've read that you can only have one male per tank but you can have as many females as your heart desires...I also talked to my vet about it and she suggested if you do get more than one leopard gecko in a tank not to put a baby with an adult because the bigger one can "pick on" the smaller one. But yeah it's been working for me so far.

How old are your geckos? You should never mix sexes of juveniles because they will breed too young and put the females at serious risk for health problems. And not all females can get along. It's not horribly uncommon for one to dominate, bully, or even attack another, especially if there are too many in too small an enclosure.

Thanks Katie! I still have more research to do but I will most definitely wait until I am able to have two tanks just in case they don't get along. I just got my first leo last week and I already can't wait for another! This is horrible haha. For the time being I will just enjoy photos of other peoples pets.

umm to be honest i have no idea i originally got them from petco and lord knows how old they were at that time but ik they were all considered "babies" by petcos standards but i have had them for about 6 month ish...and your welcome I'm glad I could provide some insight..I think it's always good to have two tanks anyway because you never know when one could get sick and need to have a "hospital" tank....what does the leopard gecko you have now look like?

Then they are too young to house together. A male shouldn't be housed with any female(s) until they are both adults of breeding size and age. They should be separated immediately. What kind of health problems is your one gecko having?

honestly i think it's just about finding what works best for you and your gecko(s)...there are soo many controversial things like whether to use sand or not as a substrate or whether it's ok to feed strictly meal worms..for some geckos it works and others it doesn't in fact some geckos refuse to eat meal worms...if you want super good start information there is a breeder i know that has a youtube channel that has phenomenal information and has amazing videos here's a link: sasobek11's channel - YouTube he has videos ranging from basic things like how to set up a tank for your new friend to advance topics like incubating eggs
