Just an FYI for those of you who keep up on taxonomy, it seems that Gekko ulikovski has been synominized with Gekko badenii. I have the papers but haven't read through them yet.

[SUP][/SUP]Hey guys, that has been published by Wolfgang Böhme and team 3 years ago.
A little late to come across as a "news" story, isn´t it?
G. badenii is the older and thus valid name.

I'm not a big taxonomy person. Someone posted it and sent me the papers. So I figured I'd pass along the info. As I said, I haven't even had a chance to look at the papers yet. Old news, new news...it doesn't really matter if it's something new to someone.

So it's badenii, not ulikovski anymore, correct?

Yes, ulikovskii is not a valid name, the animals have to be called Gekko badenii.
The funny thing about that is that I wanted to get some badenii ever since they hav been described and only after that pblication found out that I was already breeding them snce years ;)
