Entered my girl in cutest pet contest

They're having a pet contest at work where we bring in pictures of our pets and can win gift certificates. I used my female thick tail (Anya) as my cutest entry, my female panther Chameleon (Cordelia) as my most unusual entry and my Bearded Dragon (Prue) as my Ugliest entry. Although with...

    Holy Crap! It actually worked!!

There are these purple bulbs that are supposed to simulate moonlight and stimulate breeding. I've had my trio of adults (Giles, Galadriel, and Druscilla) together for about a week. Nothing. On a whim I decided to move them into an empty 10 gallon and put a 15 watt bulb over them. Well, Giles...

My female Jungle Tremper, who should I breen her to?

I just bought a female jungle tremper (Primrue) and plan on breeding her next summer. I was wondering if I should breed her to my tangerine male (Oliver) or my mack Snow male(Elmo) or my hypo high yellow (Gizmo). Opinions?

One of My Females laid a Clutched

I've put them in a small wax worm container with a mixture of peat moss and perlite that is just slightly damp. .1/1; I'm going to incubate the eggs at 82. If anyone has any tips, that would be great. I've only successfully hatched one egg and that baby died in less than a day. I'd like these...

    Hatchrite or Repashy

Would one work better than the other for hatching crestie eggs? I've had awesome results with Leos using hatchrite, but I know Repashy makes products especially for cresties though...and cresties have different needs than leos.

    Not Eating a lot

Ying Yang, my new baby Chinese Cave, doesn't seem to eat a whole lot. I've been offering him/her crickets and reptiworms. he's been eating a little, but not nearly as much as my baby leos have. He's pretty active and seems alright, I just want to make sure he stays healthy. Any ideas?

    Only eating crickets

My Thick-Tailed Gecko (U. Milli) seems to be a picky eater. He only eats crickets and only when I hand feed him. Should I be worried or try anything else to give him variety. He's pickier than my fat tails.

Thought she may be egg bound, but she finally laid her eggs today.

Ginny, my female Sunglow laid her last clutch on July 14th. She's been looking like she's close to laying her eggs for over a week now and I was worried that she was egg bound, so I serparated her from the other females a couple days ago and put her in a warm dark enclosure with plenty of hide...

    Finally a hatchling

This morning I went to check the eggs in the incubator and I saw a hatching. I thought at first it was another Leo, (I've had nine hatch so far this summer), but when I opened the container, I realized it was a little fat tail.:yahoo: I'm uber happy because Galadriel's first three clutches all...

    Thanking of Breeding Thick -Tailed

Does anyone know any good sources. I've absolutely fallen in love with my new little guy. He's really cute and has a great personality. I'm considering getting a female so I can breed them. Are the eggs soft like Leo and Fat-tail eggs, or brittle like frog eyed and pictus eggs. What is the ideal...

    2011 babies

So far, I've had 7 eggs hatch. It seems like the eggs my girls lay before mid may each year shrivel.:( I have one baby snow, 2 possible albino tangerines, one bold tangerine and 3 high yellows. These little guys never cease to amaze me. One day, there is an egg, the next there is a lively little...

    Trouble getting eggs to hatch

My female fat-tail has laid about 5 clutches of eggs. The incubation seems to go well, then at around 45 days, the eggs collapse. I've seen small slits in the eggs as though the babies are trying to push through with their plimping teeth, then nothing happens. I've given the eggs several days...
