    Pictus!

I will be acquiring a pictus gecko within a few weeks from the lovely Kelly. She has decided to sell Squidgey and I said yes, sounds like a marriage proposal , he will be going into his wonderful little 20L bioactive enclosure once he arrives. I can't wait to meet the little stinker...

    Ziggy update.

It has been quite some time since I've been on here to make an update about my leopard gecko Ziggy. September 6th will make 1 year that I have had him, he lived part of that time on tile with a UTH and homemade hides until I could research and create his new bioactive home(for those interested...

Help with sexing of my gecko? :)

I don't see the distinct row of pores that would indicate male. The only picture I see them in, your finger is covering them up. You would sex these guys the same as leopard geckos.

    Bio-active Leopard Gecko Vivarium.

Some pictures from last night. He's still giving me the "Get me out of here!" look but I think he's starting to enjoy it some, I'll find out in a week or so if he really does or not. Hanging out with Tupac. Today when I went to check on the custodians in the plant area, I found...

    Bio-active Leopard Gecko Vivarium.

I could not wait any more, the excitement was killing me, so I added Ziggy to his tank tonight. He did his usual look of "What is this sorcery?" and then proceeding to wander off to explore, wall surf and look not very impressed. In a few days he will be doing his normal gecko thing and may dig...

    Bio-active Leopard Gecko Vivarium.

I have added the other cleaner bugs: millipedes, woodlouse, sow bugs, mealworms and darkling beetles. I was going to add a few springtails until both of my colonies just up and died for no apparent reason, I'll have to start another one with the springs from my crested gecko tank. Everyone is...

    Hornworm Experiment.

Last update for a few weeks. The last of the 6 hornworms have finally reached the size to start burrowing in the soil. Last night I had 3 not in the soil and when I checked on them today, the last 2 were still in the food/poop container ready to start the pupating process. I removed them from...

    Bio-active Leopard Gecko Vivarium.

After anxiously waiting most of the day, my beetles have arrived!!! Once they settle in some, I'll record a video of them scurrying about. I gave them a piece of carrot and bug burger after their long trip from Oregon to Virginia :)

    Bio-active Leopard Gecko Vivarium.

Couple of updated pictures with the wood I originally had in there and rocks that I found tonight. Beetles should get here tomorrow so I will go ahead and add them to the viv and probably put the darkling beetles and mealworms in there to start doing their thing. I'll add the isopods and...

    Hornworm Experiment.

I told myself I was going to go do something productive and get back on here later until this happened.... My very first worm that started this experiment has burrowed into the soil! The others should follow within the next week or two. If all goes well, in 2 or 3 weeks I'll have my first Hawk...

    My three new geckos

Vertical conversions are for tanking say a 20L, turning it on one end and then building a screen door for it, mostly for arboreal species of gecko/lizard. My rack. Each shelf can hold up to 250lbs.

    Introducing...

Ziggy is the most active late at night, I've seen him wandering about at 2 in the morning. The CG on the other hand, has been bouncing around his tank since I put him in the bio one.

    My three new geckos

I would get heat cable and use for that. This is kholtme's 40 gallon breeder for his leo. For the bricks, if they do not have any chemicals on them, just wash them under some warm water and put them in there. They would be too thick for substrate, anything over 3/8" thick and the heating...
