I use a sand substrate and give them a small humid hide. Your set-ups are fine as long as you mist them on a daily basis.

Yeah, they all get lightly misted two times a day...all of them including the juvie shed great...i actually used to offer hides on the ground but they were never utilized by anyone but the crickets...lol. Also, i would be a bit nervous about using sand, especially with babies. A friend of mine lost a few ciliaris from a sand impaction. Do they ingest it often?

Sure, they ingest some sand when they go after crickets, but they have never had any impaction problems. As long as the geckos are well supplemented, you don't really need to worry about impaction. Impaction is usually associated some underlying condition.

What can i say, i love 'em ;-). lol, i can't wait until i can keep them again and get a few breeding groups of several species 8) Right now i need to sorta shift my collection over to more terrestrial species that i can keep in a rack system though...not that that's a bad thing (Nephrurus here i come ;-))
