my shower chamber

i was told that to help keep my Sikorae well hydrated i should shower them. i was nervous of the idea of letting them hang out on a plant in my shower plus i was concerned the shower might be too strong. i think i solved by problems by making this little shower chamber. the screen on top lets the water in, but also helps diffuse it. i also placed holes in the bottom to let the water drain.

it's really easy....not sure he used the same method i do, but basically you just buy whatever plastic container, cut a big square in the top, go to some home improvement store and get some screen, then glue in on.

<sigh> yes.. it was that easy. i thought i was gonna impress someone and you go and blow it on me.  i had some screen left over from replaceing my door screen and i just used a hot glue gun to glue it in place.

you can also use silicone if you have that around (which ought to ensure that the glue doesn't come loose with water contact).

i've never had a problem with water unsticking glue from glue gun... and what i like best about using one is the lack of offgassing. no fumes to worry about. the bad part is the realy nasty burns i gave myself when i got careless. dork!
