What calcium supply in terrarium

I was wondering what kind of calcium supply you use, cuttlefish bone, plain calcium carbonate powder, other...
I mean not the regular feeder insect dustings, but the stuff you give in a dish or bowl and put in their housings all the time.
What is the best product for this?
Thanks in advance

Hi Peter---

Sorry that nobody else has responded to your inquiry. Seems like an easy enough question. My geckos really like Rep-Cal's Phosphorus-Free Calcium with Vitamin D3...the ultrafine powder...for both dusting and within-the-cage dishes. Sometimes I use a human-grade calcium carbonate powder marketed by NOW foods in Indiana, USA (www.nowfoods.com). That is 100% calcium. Comes in 12 ounce (340 g) containers for about $3.00 US...substantially cheaper than the calcium marketed for reptiles. It is a finer powder than Rep-Cal's calcium and tends to cake somewhat. If I use it for geckos like Lepidodactyus lugubris for whom I place crickets in a 16 ounce plactic container, extra powder sometimes sticks to the geckos' toes and makes it temporarily impossible for them to climb out of the container.

I use pure calcium. Depending on the species, calcium with d3 can cause levels of toxicity that are fatal. I know for a fact that Leopard Geckos, and Panther ( p.picta) can die from too much D3. This is why pure calcium is what i use.
