Frugivorous Gecko Diet

I just wanted to point out a new gecko food that I think anyone feeding frugivorous geckos will want to try out. While in Daytona, I had the pleasure of meeting Clark Tucker, and not only is he a great guy, he is also producing a frugivorous gecko diet (Clarksgeckos Frugivorous Geckos Diet) and I picked up some to try. I've tried a few of these powdered gecko foods in the past and only had modest luck getting the geckos to eat it. I was quite impressed with Clark's food. It is easy to mix, full of all kinds of nutritious stuff for the geckos, and best of all the geckos ate it like crazy! I tried feeding it to Ailuronyx, Bavayia, Eurydactylodes, Rachodactylus, Phelsuma, Hoplodactylus, Naultinus and Tarentola. All the geckos ate it up great! Again, I would have to recommend this food to anyone who has frugivorous geckos.

Have you ever used the T-Rex stuff? I've found that my baby rhacs are a little reluctant to eat it well. If you've used both, which one do they seem to devour more readily?

I use both, in conjunction with a mix we make ourselves. I can also reccommend the Clark's diet, the babies eat it immediately, as do adults .(And Phelsuma, Gehyra as well) The youngsters have a very good growth rate with what I have seen already as well.

Hi Aaron-

Yes, I've tried it and hate to compare the two on here. But to be honest, I found Clark's diet was easier (in fact, no trouble) to get the geckos to eat.

Jerry.

Hi All---

Sarah Milroy, one of Clark Tucker's marketing assistants, just posted me that Clark has reduced prices on all sizes of his FGD and has added a 2.5 oz size.
