Just wanted to see if this setup would be good for 3.3 satanics 12.5 inch in width and 24 inch in length

hey man, when you told me that your tanks were screened on the sides, i thought you meant all sides. from the looks of it, it seems as though either of your setups should work. the only thing that concerns me is that the larger enclosure above might keep things too dry. as long as you're willing to mist often, i would imagine your animals should do fine.

however, there is one thing i would definitely change in those setups, and that is the soil in the potted plants. not only is there a good chance theres some sort of pesticide and/or fertilizer in there, but the perlite (lil white chunks) can lead to impaction if ingested by any of your geckos, which will lead to death. so see if you can wash out all the old dirt and add some pesticide/fertilizer free dirt (i always buy the big bulky bags of peat moss and it works fine for me).

anyhow, good luck with your satanics, and remember not to use a heat bulb on them, or else you'll be sorry.

yes, take those out of the pots pull away most loose soil, getting most off the top then rinse well. After this they will sit lower in your tank and then you can pack peat into it building up to maybe 3 inches. This will hold moisture better. You are taking a lot away from these plants but they are hardy and you dont want them growing out of control anyways. Use the ficus mostly. I have found my phantasticus using this plant more than any other and had better success with ficus.
The bottom cage and idea looks best to me. Dont let them get above 75F and mist every day. Also dust your crickets and you will do fine. I did not use D-3 while using uv lighting and that worked well for me. You should get many eggs this year! Check for eggs around base of plants sometimes they are hard to find. Good luck and good choice!

that looks ok but i was wondering how arboreal they really are. mine are breeding and thriving in 10 gallon stander size tanks. In my tanks i put about 2-3 inches of gravel on the bottom acouple of inches of dirt and a pothos. Reptibark is on top of that. It has a screen top and a 5.0 uvb light that is on a photoperiod. My females lay pretty regularly under leaf litter so I put some of that on top.The light is chaged about once a year. Also my cages sit on the floor in my bedroom in the basement wich help keep it cooler but my temps have hit up to the mid 70's and and they seem to do just fine. One of the things that I have personally noticed is that gravid females wil bask in the uv
light.. and that is in addition to the vitamin D3 powder that they get from gutloaded crickets. I would mist twice a day as i do and that keeps the tank fairly humid but i also put a small fan on the top of the tank to circulate the air twice a day. good luck I would like to see some pics of your animals does anyone KNow how to post pics on here? Good luck.
