Breeding Matches

Does any one, or has anyone ever breeded a crested gecko with any thing other than a crested gecko, or heard of any creations?? I was just curious to combining a crested with another gecko, Any thoughts or suggestions on what might happen?

there are quite a few people producing R. ciliatusXchahoua crosses right now
go to www.repashy.com and type in crested gecko crosses, or ciliatus cross and you should come up with something.
they range from looking like cresteds, to mossies to everything in between, with eyelashes and crests, some with basically no eyelashes and no crests with a chahoua pattern. some have tails like ciliatus, some like chahoua, and some in-between

yea, i remember a pic of one of those was entered for the last photo contest here, it was settled on a lamp fixture or some metal rod or something.

those things look funky!

Is there any problems of breeding siblings?? "brother, sister" crested geckos. Would it cause any birth defects or implications of any, and has anyone here done that I was wondering what you guys and gals thaught.

now I"ve heard of people doing sun to mother or father to daughter, but I have not heard of sibling to sibling. I've also heard that your not suppose to go past third generation because thats when the defects start. but I could be wrong on this, but I dont' cross any of mine that way.

yes, and i dont like them at all. but i dont like crossing leachie locals either, and i cant have EVERYTHING my way... there have been crestedxgargoyle crosses too.

well specific locals of leachies and chahoua? no. and actually, they mostly inhabit different areas, and only over lap a little. its not like they all come from the same place. and i would think, that in the wild, where there are thousands of your same species, there would be no reason to mate with something from a different species. and if they did cross in the wild, since crosses are fertile, someone at somepoint probably would have found one.

I was told they have NOT crossed ciliatus and auriculatus. Do you have any links or anything?

I dont thik they have auric crested crosses either. I havent heard of any or seen any pics.
