Question on lenses

Ok, I have a sony cyber-shot, and was wondering if there were any attachment lens I could use to get better shots. Could I attach a macro lens or something else to get more mega pixels or better better shots for geckos?

Umm, I know my cybershot doesn't. What's the model # on yours? Also, a quick and easy way to tell if a camera (p&s) can take any lenses or modifiers is to look around the existing lens for a screw socket. That is, around the lens, there is a ring of grooves that will allow something to screw into the camera, directly over the lens. I know my Olympus C has this and it definitely allows some expansion of accesories. Hope this helps.

Ive seen people actually make their own macro lenses with toilet paper rolls and magnifying glasses, and it worked amazing

But if your camera doesnt have the threads for a lens, just put a magnifying glass in front of it.
