It measures 4 feet 7 inches. The screen addition was just over 3 feet. It was added to the top of a 29 gallon tank. The back will be out of plexi-glass and the front door(not yet finished) will be screen as well. I need some ideas for some stronger lighting to reach the bottom or different lighting setups. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Are those incandescent lights putting out a lot of heat? I would avoid lots of heat, even though it's a tall enclosure where they could avoid it if the geckos wanted to do so. Just a risk.

To get lets to penetrate further, all I can think of is placing another light fixture halfway down the cage somehow. You would also have to avoid it getting wet...sorry that's all I've got for my 2 cents.

that is one freaking big enclosure you got there, you could put a ficus tree in there if you wanted to line the back of that baby with some cork bark get all kinds of ivy going that would be one sweet enclosure. I have two four foot tanks that I'm about to do that too. One for my cresteds and one for my gargoyles

you might wanna be careful with that extension if theres nothing keeping it latched onto the actual tank. your fimbriatus might jump at it at times, and since they're so large they can actually topple it over. when i constructed mine for my henkeli, i build it out of oak, so it was considerably heavier. those screen frames are soooo light weight.

They are latched to the tank at 4 different points, it doesn't move (not even when you knock into it). The lights are coiled flourescents. Barely any heat at all. The plan is to add a large ficus, create some spots on the back wall where ivy and pothos can be planted.
