I just bought one, and have a few questions.

I have heard you should feed them an alternating diet of Termites and lateralis roaches.

Please post pics of your baby setups, including sizes and temperatures.

Any replies would be very helpful.

Thanks Derek

Out of curiosity, if your going to feed termites, where are you getting them from? Catching them in the wild, or ordering them from somewhere?

I dont give any termites to mine...... I give mine lateralis and crickets dusted with calcium!

I have never heard of termites for the Williamsi!

Thanks Erik

I would get them out in the wild, I have read temites are very clean bugs and are perfect feeder bugs. Anybody else use them??

I use termites regularly but here in Australia we can dig out nests of grass eating species (non-house eating) which is no drama. For williamsi babies I tend to feed mainly crickets. Commercially bad termites can be collected from fallen timber and refrigerated in fine sawdust for a week or two. Without the queen, there is no risk if a couple go wandering. Ants usually hunt them down very quickly anyway. They are a great diet for any diplo but also good for very small Nephrurus babies that are frightened by crickets like laevissimus and stellatus.
