Kinda depends on the size of the animal. I have a plump yearling Nuu Ami that is about to get a cage upgrade. I have a 30" x 30" x 18" cage on the way for her. She's only about 5" now, but around 40g (slow grower). Have any measurements for yours?

Hi Harold,
All my Isle E born from 7/05-8/05 are around 28g each and approx 5.5"...Thanks
Greg

I would think anything around a 20g would work well for now. I'm just setting up her adult cage and let her grow into it since she's so active. I've got mine in something smaller than a 20 now since she's recently put on alot of grams.

Harold;
Do you think my Isle E yearlings are on the small side ? Thanks;
Greg

Not really. From talking to several breeders, it seems the key to "growing" large yearlings is giving them belly heat. Mine is about 15 months old but in a growth spurt right now. As long as they are healthy and active, I really wouldn't worry about how they are doing compared to other specimens.

How would you provide belly heat for an arboreal animal?

Several of the other leachie breeders I know actually raise their babies and juvies in shoeboxes with belly heat. They say the leachies actually spend most of their first year on the floor and have grown up to be some robust specimens.
