Alright i am new here but have done most of my research. I am planing on getting a 1.1.0 klemmeri and keeping them in a 18 gallon high.

Now my question is i have availibility to two bloodilines and i was wondering whether or not i should mix the two bloodlines or keep them strait?

first off, have fun finding an adult pair. it took me a while, and I just found a pair.

I would mix the two bloodlines, giving healthier offspring, unrelated is always better.

good luck!

How do you know they have 2 distinct bloodlines available? Just because the offspring are from different parents doesn't mean they have different bloodlines. Can the person you are considering buying them from demonstrate that they are indeed from 2 different origin stocks?

If they are 2 different lines, i would agree with the rest of the reply's and say, "Mix them"

Who is the breeder? - If you don't mind me asking...

Well some are from he "european bloodline" and some are from "new bloodline" if that gives away who the breeder is so be it. I will tell you all once i secure a deal b/c i dont want to plan this out and then have someone buy them up before i get a chance.

Any other opinions

Inbreeding defects don't show up so quickly in reptiles, but it's better to diversify a bloodline, if possible.
(If I remember correctly, a German breeder bred Paroedura picta for 16 generations with no ill effects.)
