well, considering ReptileDepot hasnt sent me my 12x12x18, can I make a temp cage out of a 10 gallon tipped on end for a few days? The seller needs to get these geckos out before he leaves on Vaca, and I dont have a cage yet. Would this work? Let me know! Thanks

that would help me so much, then I can make sure they arent going to bolt on me! It should only be for a few days, until my exo terra comes! Thanks

It would be OK, just be careful that they don't escape, when you open the top.
They always tend to run upwards and they can be very fast and very hard to catch, when they are on the lose. If they run away, you can't just grab them. It's better to cover them with something transparent and slip a piece of paper underneath to lift them.

so if I tip it on end, so it is arboreal and then they will run up instead of out would that be better?

the 10 gallon set up normally is fine, Peter. They are really small and their is plenty of height in a 10 gallon that is set up as its supposed to be. Its just temporary. You could keep them in there forever though and they'd be fine.

They'd be fine in a 5.5 gallon!

Just make sure that they have a nice, warm, humid place to relax in when they arrive. Give them hiding places, food, and water, and let them settle in for a few days before you start messing with them too much. Avoid stressing them out.

Don't worry about standing that 10 gallon up on its side - just keep it simple. They'll be more than fine in there until your exoterra comes.
