finally some henkeli eggs

well, i finally got my first pair of fertile eggs from my henkeli this year. i had gotten some infertile eggs from them earlier this year, but just went to clean out tanks and found them very well-hidden. candled, they looked fresh with a few blood vessels formed. this is from a big female i got back in february, and she looks like she might drop more soon. ill try to get some pics of the new setup soon, i like how it turned out a lot.

wow, thats a heck of a nice viv! you build them yourself? how do you ensure that the glass doesnt overheat and shatter?

well, i got the tank for free, it was custom built with two hinged glass pieces on either end and screen in the middle. so i glued down one end, set it up on that end, and worked it from there.

and the glass wont shatter, it's just compact fluorescent bulbs.

well, it's a plastic hinge. it connects the screen part to the glass panes.
