brumation is taking the heat away and not feeding them for months, they
go into sorta a hibernation state. It is an outdated practice and not nessesary
to do to have a healthy breeding females. Its not just the females its both
sexes they use to brumate. some people still do it but i dont beleive it
is the right thing to do with leos. some people really believe it makes them
more ready to breed. I dont know why or how they think this. Seems it would make them lathargic and dehydrated as well as loss of weight. no offense
to anybody that might brumate their leos i am not judging you i just
dont think it is nessesary in fact i know its not. sorry this thread went
off topic. my apologies Oukan.

No problem at all. Different people use different methods of brumation. Its pretty much all of what she said and in some ways , less and more. If that makes any sence. I personaly dont go through the extreamities that some people do. I just simply give my girls a break from laying any eggs by taking them away from the male and lowering the temps a little so they dont feel its summer time any more.

Basically a winter slow down instead of months of starvation right? Thats
perfectly fine most of us expect that our leos will probably eat a little less
during the colder months. But thats not always the case.
