5 in total, 3 bloodlines. Here are the best 2. Pardon the blurryness. Still trying to figure out this new camera! It has "selective focusing disorder". lol
Sheesh, you've had 5 hatch out now? You guys that are hatching them out so fast must be keeping your eggs warmer or something. Weren't all your eggs layed in July? Wuuuzzzz the secret? They do look really nice by the way. I'm really curious as to the weights on all of these fast hatchers as well. I'll also be curious to see if these faster hatchers tend to be more of one sex than the other.
That would actually be just about right,70-90 days is pretty common when temps range in the mid to upper 70s.You can extend when temps average low 70s to upper 60s,to as much as 120 days.
I guess that I should try incubating mine a little on the warmer side then. I have a bunch at the 90-100 day mark with nothing hatching yet and it's driving me nuts (I hate the wait!). Next batch I'll try in the mid to upper 70's I guess.
Depending on how moist your medium is,they can sometimes be incited to hatch by increasing the humidity,in a controlled amount that wont be harmful.Just a slight misting of the medium without directly spraying the eggs works.
