wondering about our gargoyle

hopefully someone can help shed light on this for me... well wednesday night my mom and i went to feed our gargoyle gecko and we found her dead on the ground. it was really shocking because just the day before she was fine and eating. anyways i was just wondering if anyone had any ideas of what might have caused this.. i know its hard to say without seeing her but there were no obvious injuries or growths that were there... she was also only a year or 2 old and we were thinking of breeding her but of course now we cant

oh and just so you know she was in a 20 high paper towel substrate kept at 74-78F the fake bendable vine, drift wood, a hammock, and fake plants. misted her 2-3 times daily, fed her baby food mixed with GGD and extra calcium and gave her dusted crickets every few nights

i also heard that they could be prone to protein deficiencies.. is that true?

I've only been dealing with these guys for a few years now and I've never heard that. If anything they are prone to be really good eaters and get over weight esp. with feeding baby food. How long was she in your care? Have you fed her recently? How big where the crickets you where giving her?

yeah i hadnt heard it either untill my mom talked to a breeder we know.. he breeds mainly cresties and is starting to move on to leachies and chahouas though.

weve had her basically her whole life so the 1-2 years(i believe it was going on 2 years). she hardly touched the baby food ever except when she was fairly young, around 5-8 months probably. i fed her about 4-6 crickets the night before we found her dead and there was maybe one left in her cage. the crickets were medium size which are i believe 1/2-3/4 inch

heres a pic of her from a few months ago.. not sure exactally from when though since this comp doesnt have all my pics on it

I dont' know what the problem could be, but we had a gargoyle die a couple of weeks ago. All of a sudden we looked at him and his eyes were all sunken in and he was breathing heavy. Earlier that same day he appeared to be just fine so whatever happend to him, happend fast. He died over night.
