Kind of a rough picture - they can be difficult to photograph. They are delicate imports, and stress very easily. My first attempt to acclimate them resulted in one male dying after I touched him. Quite strange.

As delicate as they are in a shipping box, they appear to do reasonably well once setup with food and water. They are extremely shy, and I rarely see them. I'm working with 1.1 right now. The female is larger (longer, and heavier) but I'm not sure if that's age related.

Males have some of the biggest hemipenes I have ever seen on a gecko. Their size makes me wonder if they live in high densities in the wild.

Anyway, I hope to have young next year. Does anyone on here have any notable experiences with this species (or even this genus?).

They seem to have the potential for quite lovely coloration. I'm curious to see what they look like once their stress level has been reduced and they're settled in. I have the feeling the babies could be quite stunning! Good luck with them, and hopefully you'll get some offspring.
