i was wondering for those who have bred their cresties if you knew how hard the eggs get before they are layed? my boss has a gravid female and i just went over to check her out to see if she did indeed had eggs. she does but im a bit worried because i can really feel the egg in her belly where with my gravid females i bought before i could never feel the eggs as well as i could feel this ones. i just dont want her to loose this crestie from becoming egg bound or anything.
just so you know shes in a 20 tall with lots of branches and plants and 2 lay boxes, one with vermiculite and one with moss in it. temps are about 74ish and she said that the crestie has been in the moss lay box alot lately so we know shes getting close to laying... i know its kinda the off season for breeding and i did let her know that before hand but she still put them together. any help/info would be appreciated oh and this is a first timer female
