i've always heard it is bad to have the heat bulbs actually in the enclosure like that but i see a lot of people who keep uro's, bearded dragons, and monitors doing it quite frequently it seems, is it really not much of a problem?

great looking monitor, very healthy looking.

thanks for th comments, it s a flavi x argus. I along with most keepers of monitors feel safe with exposed bulbs. burns occur when the rest of the cage is to cold and the only source of heat is the lamps.
