Hi all,

A question to the morph breeders:

Is it possible to get once a full pinner by breeding with a male and a female partial pinestripe morph ...

Any experiences ... :roll:

Thanks & Regards
Peter

You can get full pinstripe offspring by breeding a full pinner male to a par. pin female.

Is that waht you were asking??

look at it this way...it's not like full pinstripes were a random mutation that suddenly popped up in the hobby....partial pinstripes were selectively bred for, and by crossing offspring with greater and greater amounts of partial pinstriping, eventually full pinstripes came out. or at least thats the way i think it would be. but if you're asking if two cresteds with minimal pinstriping can be bred to produce offspring with 100% pinstripes, the answer is no. you can get better expression of pinstriping in offspring than you see in both adults, but there is still a great amount of resemblence to the parents.

Thank you a lot!

Derek and Mike, thanks a lot for your help!!

@Derek
No, that I didn't mean, but thanks for the information, I guessed that it surely will be like that, but get to know from experienced breeder is better ;)!

@Mike
It was exactly what I thought it would be! Good to hear a confirmation. I won't expect that out of two 20% part. pinstripe it will get a full pinstriper. But out of a 80 % and a 60 % to get the chance to get 90 % and so on ...

That was the point of interest!!

Once more thank you both ...
