Hi guys

Following on from a previous thread, I wonder if you can help in confirming my Phelsuma? I understood them to be PMgrandis, but on a previous thread was advised they may be PM Kochis. Here are two pics from today. The female is shedding after a few amorous advances from the male ripped a few bits off!

These are both kochi. Notice that these animals lack the red stripe from the nose to the eye or it is very faint. Grandis have that stripe(it is almost always vibrant) as well as the other madagascariensis species. The other species have the stripe like grandis only the stripe extends further than the eye. They are also duller in appearance than the other species which is typical for kochi. they are nice specimens none the less.

kochi is not that attractive
and boehmei is bred in very small numbers and very expensive

if you would buy a pair of boehmei i can afford with the sam price 2.3 phelsuma ornata

I had no idea that so many of these Phelsuma were really beautiful and interesting and I would love some P.Ornata they are one of my favorites
