I'm so excited to get my first Diplo eggs. They are tesselatus. Do they look fertile to all you experts. Please give me all the advice and tips you can think of. I want this to be a success. I have the lid removed from the container because to me it appears to be to wet.

Yes, the substrat is too wet. Ever thought about switching to vermiculite or perlite? The eggs are bad and will start to mold, soon. But no worries- there will be more on their way! Keep the fingers crossed for the next ones.

Way too wet! You want the consistency to be so that when you squeeze it together, it sticks in a ball, but no excess water drips out. I think peat moss still may be a good choice for laying eggs on though. When incubating I recommend .8 parts water to ever 1 part perlite.

Good luck!
