Congrats on your first eggs.

I have never had a problem with Strophurus eggs being too moist. They are forgiving, tough little buggers. I treat them exactly like leopard gecko eggs and hatch them in moist vermiculite just as you have them. I use 6:1 by volume (vermiculite:water), which is pretty close to 1:1 by weight. I keep them in closed 23cm deli cups with six 2mm holes in the cups for ventilation. I have hatched several dozen eggs and every one hatched

. (and every hatchling survived well). If anything I worry about them drying out in the egg box before I find them. I've had two clutches I didn't get to quickly and the eggs were wrinkled a fair amount. I put them in the vermiculite and gave an extra spray of water around the eggs (not on so as not to cut off oxygen). They all rehydrated and hatched. Like I said, tough little buggers. Good luck with them.

John
