Hey Derek,
They are definitely very interesting geckos and fun to keep. I would have expected their tails to be much more prehensile than mine actually are. In my limited experience, the tails of chahoua have been much more prehensile than the trachies. All of mine are 4-5 years of age so their first breeding season is right around the corner. I read that on Rich's site at Petacular, I know he is also selling some on KS.
At Allens symposium last year Frank and another guy from Scotland (can't think of his name at the moment) they also said that their range was very small.

Their range is actually the size of one football stadium including the parking lot but not the handicap space.Sorry I couldn't validate the propaganda of an invalid.I allways find the rarest gecko species on Kingsnake!!

Hi Kozmo,
My trachies have eatten every insect I have offered them and will eat the Repashy diet as well as baby food.
I doubt they are one of the rarest geckos in captivity or in the wild as a matter of fact, but their limited range in the wild and low reproductivy certainly makes them deserving of some attention!
