Just like the rest of Matjaz,´s animals. Red and stunning. As you might have seen I have som animals myself that came from Matjaz. 18 months old and still with that reddish colour. I prefer the original banded ones even though I also like the striped ones.

Although not rare, this is still one of my favorite gecko species to work with.
I've been working with them for 10 years now.
It looks like their color and pattern diversity improves with each following generation in captivity. I'm surprised every year by some new variation in the pattern.
In the first few years of my selective breeding of the striped form I only had animals with the body stripe. Now I also produce animals with stripes that stretch on between 1/2 to almost complete length of the tail.

When I find some time, I'll show you some photos of the new joint (Karsten and me) C. elegans breeding project.
