Mealworms or crickets?

Which is better, mealworms or crickets? Also, how do you feed a mealworm to a two year old gecko, who hasn't seen one for two years (I'm not sure if the place I got it from was feeding mealworms or crickets)? Should I just put them in a bowl, or try to hand feed?

Crickets has the advantage of easier to digest and higher in protein, but cannot be contain on the bowl unlike Mealworms which is also high in protein but not as easy on our Leos, also mealworm stays in the bowl and just eats anything so gut loading is much easier.I guess it is down to your choice.
I think putting is preferrable since is less intrusive procedure.

Thank you. I have probably decided to stick with crickets, because I also think my gecko gets more enjoyment out of eating them :D (and I definitely like watching). Also, I'd still need to get my gecko to eat the mealies, so I'm just going to stick with crickets.

My leo was on a cricket diet for a long time....after a while I noticed no matter what foods I offered them....they loved to dine on Leo feces....sooooo I bought some mealworms...put one down in front of my leo and she knew just what to do with it.
