My first laticauda clucth has hatched. Oviposition was 02/24/08. This is the first time I have used the incubator as opposed to letting them hatch insitu. 78F - 88F for 38 days and 39 days. I have since lowered the top end to 86F. The first one hatched yesterday 4/2 and the second this morning 4/3. They look healthy and appear alert.

Second hatch this year from pair 1

Oviposition was 03/21/08. Hatch date was 04 30 08 and 05/02/08 = 40 and 42 days. This was the first time I have experienced hatches 2 days apart, though I am sure it is common. This time I tried Hatchrite for this clutch and incubated 79.6 - 86.2F range. Something I think is cool is that they both have already been finger fed for the first time today. One at 2 days and the second at ~12hrs. I fed them Repashy/yogurt/honey mix.

I have been interested in the angularis. What made you get rid of them? Are they difficult to breed successfully? By the way, I finally got my quad quad female to lay a clutch yesterday morning. This is the same one I posted about a couple months back on phelsumaweb with concerns. I believe you replied about the fact that because she was a WC, she may have been at the end of here cycle. You may have been right. I think she took a nice break. Since then, she has filled out a bit more and her chalk sacks have become more healthy. One general thing I noticed is that the quad quad belly skin is thicker than laticauda. I had to look a bit closer to notice she was gravid. It was not highly visible until she was ready to start oviposition.

Angularis isn't hard to breed. I wanted to go a different direction when I decided to get rid of them. I should have kept them but I didn't.

Thats cool that your Quad. Quad. female laid. I am still waiting on mine to lay.
