Hello all,

I have a couple light bulbs and I was curious if this particular one would be good to use for Leo's. It seems to say it is good for Reptiles however I want to make sure it won't harm my new critter. Thanks for any help you can provide.

it looks like it is a day only lamp not providing heat at night
if you get a lamp and put a 75 watt red bulb or any other color that leos cant see are good for night and day heating thats just my opinion thought just tryin to help you save money

Thank you for your reply. I have the lamp to use during the daytime and will shut it off at night. For heating then I use the under the tank heating pad in there to keep the area warm. My Leo seems to like it so far. I'm a little short on money but perhaps I can invest in another kind.

well if you go to a garage sale and buy a lamp for cheap it could save you money that way too

I'm kinda curious though because the sand feels really cold on the left side and I don't want my poor Gecko to get really cold at night. I have one under the tank heat pad and that is it for at night time. The sand around the one side is warm but the other side is very cold. Is this okay? Is it necessary to have the temperature high all the time?

Yeah, how much cold can the geckos withstand? Some people say temps in the 80's to around 85 are good and then some say it should be near 90's. What should the temps at night be?

Okay, I don't think it should get too cold. I'm just a little worried because I basically live in the basement of my home and didn't want anything bad to happen to the little guy.

AND thank you very much.
