My loki (last week photo attached) had a strange faint line down his back... today he has the first shed since I got him.. and what happens.. a solid bright white line down the center of his back from neck to tail... weird I tell ya...

anyone else ever have that happen?
anyone know what it means?

He's 3 weeks old.. He gets fed EVERY DAY at 5pm. Gut loaded crickets and twice a week he gets meal and or phoenix worms just like the rest of my geckos

It seems like you are rather new to the hobby, and I was just trying to help you out. I looked at some of your other posts, and this confirmed my thoughts.

if you are feeding them daily, then maybe it is something to do with temperature. The leos color is a little dark, and it's tail is a little thin, so that leads me to believe that there is an issue somewhere in the husbandry.

thanks for your help. I appreciate it.
He was that color when I got him
His warm side is about 88/90
His cool side is about 78/80
His ambient room temp stays about 84
He is housed with 3 other hatchlings a blizzard, a jungle and one other regular.

You're right I am fairly new - 6 mths in.
I feed them daily small amounts allowing me daily "handling time" with each of my 15 leos. Most are paired off two per 40 gallon home.
They are in a reptile room with my other reptiles therefore the room air is always no less than 84 degrees and the humidity is always at 40/50%

I certainly didnt mean to sound as if I was a know it all.. I am certainly new to the trade but not necessarily "ignorant" to the ways of raising them properly.

My original post here was not a question of how I was raising them.. or how healthy he looks.. the original post was basically an announcement of him acquiring a stripe after shedding that was not there before - a phenomina in my eyes.

But seriously I hope I have not offended or sounded offended for neither was or is my intentions.

Thanks again

I don't mean to come across as an ass, but I tend to... so here goes, lol.
I know that when you originally posted, you weren't asking for what you got, but sometimes people notice things that maybe you were not aware of. And after reading your posts, I realized that you were new to the Hobby, so I thought I would point out a few things.

one last thing about your post, I would bump up your basking spot another 5 degrees or so, your animals will be more active and will have a much larger appetite, and his color may brighten up a little.

GREAT I'll do that... and if I think you're being an Ass I promise to tell ya *winks*
I usually come off as the sweetie but if I feel like I am absolutely right about something I'll be an Ass too - feel free to tell me when I am *LOL*

We're still trying to get the room to a place that all the animals are happy.. it's difficult with Savannahs, Tegus, Chameleons (2 different kinds) and 15 leos! But we're slowly coming around to something that is keeping everyone happy SO FAR... I'm sure you'll see tons of questions from me and many times I'll spout off something I read and rest assure if I READ it but havent TRIED it I'll say I READ it... I believe NOTHING I Read, Half of what I hear and only 3/4 of what I see with my own eyes *LOL*

Thanks again for the advice! I'll scootch up that warm side a bit
